Who we are

Founded by women.
Built for everyone.

Fardosa Osman, Executive Director
Fardosa Osman
Executive Director & Founder
Fardosa founded Fountain of Hope in 2017 to give the women of Garissa County a platform to advocate for health, education and community resilience. Under her leadership, FOH has grown into a multi-pillar organisation engaging women, men, youth and persons with disability.

Fountain of Hope (FOH) was established and registered with the Garissa County Social Development Office (Reg. No. GSA//HC/G/CD/2B/034), founded in response to the persistent neglect of pastoralist and ASAL communities in Kenya's development landscape.

"A country where communities are empowered and advancing towards meeting their basic needs."

Our mission: to improve livelihoods and wellbeing of vulnerable community members through strategic partnerships and sustainable programs in governance, education, public health, food security, shelter, natural resources management and environmental management.

Integrity
We act with honesty and within the rule of law, demonstrating full accountability to donors, the public, and beneficiaries.
Transparency
All decisions are above board and information is freely accessible to those affected by our work.
Accountability
We are accountable to the public and stakeholders for every resource received and every decision made.
Diversity & Inclusion
We actively include women, persons with disability and youth in decision-making at all levels. Ethnic and clan affiliations are not tolerated.
Partnership & Advocacy
We build close collaboration with stakeholders and continuously create awareness to address community needs.

Programs designed
with communities,
not for them.
